Installing a second stereo.

Here are some suggestions and considerations:  1)  When installing more
than  one sound system to the same set of speakers you do not want the
signal from one system to travel the same circuit as the second deck is
on.  The easiest solution is to install the stereo wherever you wish.
Purchase a four channel passive switch from Radio Shack, relatively
inexpensive.  This switch is small enough that it may be mounted with
your after market stereo (...maybe, but it will be tight).  Now you must
disconnect your current speakers from the existing stereo.  It would be
wise, if you ever plan to sell the car, not to ruin the wiring harness
that exists, but instead to run totaly new cabling back to the new
switch.  Now run speaker wire from new stereo to unit one on the switch
box.  Due the same with your stock stereo.  Connect the speaker outs on
the switch to existing speakers.  

Tada... your done. 


PS.. What in the world would possess you to do such a thing anyway?
