Best drives in the US - MIDWEST!

Hi,
All right guys, stop talking about your drives from Barstow to Tahoe, I
am sick of it :-) Lets talk about great drives in the midwest. Any
suggestions? I personaly prefer the driving in the midwest during
October and see the splendid fall foliage. I am more interested in
drives in IL, IA, WI and MN area. Come one guys, lets show these
Californians a thing or two.

On a side note, this memorial day weekend I was in Lake Tahoe with my
family (brother's Ford minivan). The drive from Barstow to Tahoe is
incredible, missed my Audi terribly. I did note that I have never seen
so many Audis in one place. The whole area was swarming with Audis of
all shapes and sizes. Usually I go to southern California, Orange county
and that place is filled with BMW's and Mercedes, Lake Tahoe was a
refreshing change.
