Just thought I would pass along a good source for automotive leather. I am in the process of improving the interior of my ur-q. I have the zebra cloth which is less than attractive. I can't tell you how many times people have sat in my car and said..."Oh, nice interior", but were thinking..."This is the ugliest interior I have ever seen!". 
My upholster's source for leather, called Redrum, costs about $12-$13/sqft. I was looking around on the web and found a distributor in Canada the has Connolly Automotive Autolux leather for about $6.50/sqft. This is a very good price for this grade of leather. In addition, Michael, the owner, was very helpful.
