Re: Tranny fluid dipstick

Craig,
I made mine from aluminum rod, 5/32". Flatted the end with a hammer,
added two level marks with a chisel, bent the top to a T shape and then
took it to the dealer to comare with the one I mentally copied from the
day before. How did I get the marks right, you ask? Well I had the
service gent check the fluid and remembered the mark spacing was about 1
inch and where the oil showed on his stick. Made mine to match. I was
within 1/8 inch on all marks which I then corrected. Mine is for a 90
V8, but if the same I'd be happy to measure and give you the specs.
Dealer said they would order one if I needed it. Brookfield Motor Cars,
Brookfield, Wisconsin.
