And 5 bucks on new pedal rubbers (or even - sneaky - part worn ones from
a junkyard) is an easy way for _them_ to fool _you_.  On cars with
metal accelerator pedals, they're the best guide.

Spend $100 on an expert and save thousands?  An unpopular message.  Imagine
the impact on the second-hand car trade if everyone who took a test drive
stopped at another workshop and just had a compression test done.
