spark plugs

I recently pulled one of by plugs on my '92 100S. According to my records,
they were changed at 45k. They are the stock 3 electrode NKG's. There appears
to be a whitish corrosion on the plug. My local parts store told me that this
is caused by the type of gas I use. Are these plugs "fouled" and need
replacing? The car does have 63k on it now. Also, does anyone have any
suggestions on a good replacement plug? Thanks for any info.
