interesting.  Do you know this for a fact?  The last time I had my timing 
belt off, I carefully rotated the cam to see if it was interfering. The cam
definitely hit a blockage point, which I assumed was a valve hitting a piston.
Of course I didn't torque on it very hard to be sure!.  With the belt on 
and in the right place, this doesn't happen.
