If the outer casing doesn't have any openings, then you must pry
off the rocker part of the switch. Then using a small
screwdriver, knock the locking tabs (2) back thru the housing to
expose the contacts for cleanup.
The 88 90q switches use 4 internal tabs. After removing the rocker
part of the switch, use a small tool to pry the plastic housing away
from the internal tabs at the sides of the contact end of the switch,
and insert shim stock until all 4 are free from the sides. Then push
out the switch guts. The archives have a more complete description.
