Cricket.  Handball.  Lacrosse.  Hockey.  Etc.

True.  If you stayed your entire life in the UK, you would never know that 
handball existed.  We have a new(ish) television programme in the UK called 
"Transworld Sport" that specialises in giving airtime to less well konw (in the 
UK) sports.  It even reported on the "World Series" - first report I've ever 
seen outside the USA.

All countries are the same.  If you watched the Los Angeles Olympics from 
Germany, you would have though Ulrike Maihoffer was the only contestant.
