There is nothing wrong with your car - that's the way it works. There
are two separate relays controlling the radiator fan: one for when the
ignition is on and one for when the ignition is off. The "rad. fan
relay" (which controls the fan when the ignition is on) is triggered by
a temp. switch on the bottom of the radiator or the A/C high pressure
switch. The "after run relay" (which controls the rad. fan when the
ignition is off) is triggered by a temp. switch on the rear of the valve
cover and incorporates a timer so the fan doesn't run forever.
Since each relay has its own temp. switch in separate locations, it's
entirely possible (actually quite common) for one to close sooner than
the other or be at different temperatures. BTW, unless your car has the
130hp engine, it has the single speed rad. fan setup. HTH
