Well I've got one of the early US '98s already, which didn't have some of
these changes. The radio has some quirks...like a sometimes flakey volume
control. And the wipers could use a variable intermittent feature. I'm
aware of the VW Passat intermittent relay hack...but that's a hack. I'll
do it, but only if there is no factory alternative.
