RE: ANS and the future of the list
It started around 1989, I think ... my memory fails on the exact date.
Maybe someone can dig up some more specific info.
As for me -- I'm still here ... with an A4 quattro, even. :-) At that
time, I switched jobs, couldn't host the list any more, David took it
over at Sun, and from there it ended up in Dan's lap. The list has
certainly grown far beyond my wildest expectations -- the original
quattro@mims-iris.waterloo.edu had only a few dozen subscribers, I
think, when I passed it on to David.
