Yes. Bad programmer in the AC. But mine did the same thing exactly (and
you should try 116 degrees wearing a suit with the low speed fan. In a
Naut Blue 5k w/ matching leather.)
Not wanting to replace this part for upwards of $100 (I can't remember how
much) and noting that the proper vacuum doors *will* function, but they
get the "wrong" signal from the programmer, I poked around under the dash.
Now, on a 200q, the lines may be different colors or differently located.
But I found that, observing the door opening on "LO" which allows cool air
to the dash- plugging the red vacuum line (as well as the white one it
connected to) kept this door open, flowing air normally. Strangely, all
functions of the AC seem to work normally. I will however remove the two
screws and reconnect the line when AC season is over (about six weeks here
in the desert).
On my 1987 5k, these lines were connected to the vacuum flaps directly
behind the radio. I removed the glovebox and the side of the console to
gain access without disturbing my, um, "secure" mounting of the Kenwood
(aircraft-grade fasteners and steel plate). AFAIK, the 200 has a similar
design (the AC, not the radio) although the dash is different.
