Re: BAD DAY AT SHOKAN: USE AT YOUR OWN RISK
At risk of becoming extremely unpopular[no flames please] I feel the need
to defend(I guess?) Shokan.
Some of you need to differentiate between:
-factory
-used
-refurbished
when I have called Shokan, to recieve quotes on prices, they are regularly
much less than anyone else, on _factory_new_ parts. Even better on
refurbed parts, and super on used, but buyer beware as with anything.
Now, I have had a poor part from them in the past(AC compressor) but I've
found that in my 5000, it probably wasn't their fault(the car is on its
4th compressor, the Shokan one lasted about 1 year, about par with the
last couple, hopefully this true-to-the-bone bosch part will last longer)
I have had a good experience though...we needed to replace the pass. side
headlight(water leaking in, too much effort to try and repair) and they
sent a used unit...very good condition, they included both
bulbs(park+main) and the only defect was a very small pit/chip in the
front lens, something I would expect when I get a unit for much lower than
the list price.
