Re: 5k/200/t/q Front End Clunking Repair




The following checklist should be done in order of my btdtfof  (frequency of
fault):
*  Upper strut mounts
*  Struts
*  Tie rods
*  Missing or broken upper plastic spring bearing
*  Inside control arm bushing
*  Control arm lower ball joint
*  Sway bar bushings X 6 (50 complete set, do this regardless, it affects
alignment)
*  Ovality of Inside control arm to subframe mount (weld on washer repair)
*  Driveshaft Nut not torqued to spec
*  Driveshaft outer CV (rarely)
*  Bad Wheel Bearings (you should get other symptoms first, though a good
hit...)

One of these should be the culprit.  The upper strut mounts and/or struts are
the highest of probabilities.
