Shocks Shocks

Hi Gang!

I have an 85 5kt and need to get the horrible front shocks out of it!  It has some after market american junk gabrial gas shocks (just the front) These things wreck the car!  they are the worst of both worlds.. very harsh on little bumps and no control over wavy highways. 
Hate them! Hate them! Hate them!

What I would LOVE is to get your old, good condition stock shocks for use in my car.  I really DO like Audi's choice of ride/control with a healthy stock shock.

This is of course directed at those of you who have upgraded to some other wonderful after market shock and replaced perfectly good stock ones.

I would be happy to pay some for the shocks and certainly shipping. Best yet is if one of you was in the SF bay-area so you could avoid the packing hassle!

let me know if you would like to rid your parts pile of something you are unlikely to ever put back in your car.

(oh,  the only reason I said from a quatro is that the dealer charges a BUNCH more for those and they are the same, with the exception of a color splotch, indicating to me, more firmness 
(especially since you should use the same color inserts on a given car)
