Re: Ordering a new A4TQ has evolved into a habit

Igor,

The new for (A4) '98 themes Advance/Ambition/Ambiente had me confused at
first as well - how the hell am I supposed to figure out what to stock...

Of the three, the Ambiente is by far the sportiest - even though with A3
and A6 that type of theme goes with Ambition. The Ambition stuff is boring
IMHO, the optional Velour for Ambition probably a big hit with the
Depends-crowd (sorry). Advance is for the natural (Greenpeace??) crowd
with its bark textures. I personally feel that the old jaquard satin was
better than the Advance and Ambition satins offered in 98. (you can still
get jaquard satin in 98 - order a new S4 )

Ambiente has two different blue themes, both very sporty and definitely the
choice for me in cloth seats for '98. It looks really good in the sport
seats, the sides of the seats and the bolsters being solid blue, and the
centre seating sections checked Blue/Blue or Blue/Tan. Yes, you are stuck
with blue (very dark) instrument panel/seat belts, but the contrast with
the aluminum trim is good. BTW, the aluminum on Ambiente is a blueish fine
check aluminum - vey nice as well.

I have ordered cars with the two Ambiente themes with exterior colous such
as white, silver, santorinblau perleffect, perlblau and laserrot. The only
one I have not seen is the red car with the blue inside - I hope it is
bearable. The white and the silver go beautifully with the Blue interior
if you like light colours, the darker exterior crowd would be recommended
to go with Santorinblau perleffekt or Mingblau perleffect (a bit darker and
more conservative). If you can get white perleffect it would probably
almost match the tone of the lighter Ambiente blue themes check pattern.

BTW, who the hell came up with offering nauga seats in an Audi ?!?!?!?!
They are available in a taxi-package in Europe. ;^)
