Ditto. You dont even have 25 miles of sea between you - just think how we feel 
:-).

Lets face it, over the last 2000 years just about every member country of the 
EU has been at war with just about every other member country on more than one 
occassion, and two of the main driving forces behind the EU have only been 
countries for just over 100 years.
As an example of the unity, take this years 'Europe Day'. In the UK it was 
suggested that all public buildings and as many companies as possible should 
fly the EU flag - in the event, the flag was conspicuous by its absence. In my 
local area some questions were asked about the poor showing, two of the 
answers were :- 

"We havent got an EU flag, only those of proper counties"

"Has it got a flag? What does it look like?"
