Many years ago there was 5 star - 100 octane (if I remember correctly).
The old Rover 3.5 litre (P5B) and the 3500 (P6) used to use it, the P6's used 
to have a sticker on the rear screen near the filler that read something like
 '5 Star only'.
There was also 1, 2 and 3 star, 2 star was the same octane as unleaded or so 
they said when they introduced UL. VW beetles used 3 star, a friend of mine 
used to fill his tank with half 2 star and half 4 star when 3 star was 
withdrawn. F*** knows what used 1 star, probably two-strokes and camping 
stoves.
