audistuff: seat heater, rear defogger

This is a repost.  I haven't heard anything so I thought I'd repost it.


My 87 5ksq has a couple of problems I have not bothered to diagnose yet. 
I figured
maybe someone has been there before and can cut down on my time.

The driver's seat heater doesn't work but passenger does.  Anyone know
a common fault here?

Also, Rear defogger switch was fried when I bought the car.  Just for fun
one day, I jumped across the connector to see if I could get it to work
and
nearly burned my fingers.  Short circuit somewhere.  Again, anyone seen
this before?  I'm just glad I tried it before I bought a new switch and
fried
it.
