I guess you should disconnect the bomb to reservoir hose. It is
connected to the bottom of the reservoir, so disconnecting it is an easy
way to drain the fluid.

Are you sure? On 5Ks the "(O)" warning light is only for brake pads. The
"brake" warning informs of low brake fluid level, low pentosin level and
low hydraulic pressure. I doubt if Audi changed the meaning of these
lights on newer cars.

Sorry, but these are exact symptoms of a dead bomb :-(
