RE: '88 5000cstq electric gremlins
Lift the rear seat, there's a red wire with a fuse going directly from
the battery to the trunk - it powers the antenna and rear crossover.
Remove the fuse and see if it cures your problem. The problem seems to
be in wiring though, not the antenna itself. My antenna has stopped
working just a minute ago (motor works, antenna is stuck upright), I'll
try to dissassemble it today.
