Plastic Rad Repair

The "infamous", and "certain", plastic radiator failure
occurred on my wife's 88-80!

No less on the uppermost hose!
Dumped all the water almost instantly!

Luckily I educated her about watching the temp gauge!
(if it goes past this mark something's wrong, call me!)
Needles to say, I'm searching for another radiator!

Are there "metal" ones still available, for the 88-80's?

I managed to "temp-repair" the upper neck with a piece of
aluminum tubing, which fit perfectly snug inside the neck!
(Lucky me!)  It was from an old shower curtain rod!

My other concern is the other plastic hose necks!

They could go anytime too!

Has anyone found a reliable source for replacing the plastic end caps?

Or am I just SOL and need a new rad?

I've priced a few between $199 and $260.

Anyone know a better source?  Used?
