Hi Roger,
Having just spent two weeks staring at a 4ksq, examining every dang part in
there, I fairly sure that plug goes nowhere. I believe it's just for
diagnostics. Your problem sounds just like the one I was trying to fix,
except that your's gets better (I gather) when the car warms up. Since your
car recovers, it is probably not an electrical problem- wires tend to act
the same warm or cold. It seems more likely that you have a vacuum leak,
which is sealing when some part warms up and expands. I'd try the old "spray
gum-out at everything that could leak" trick- just listen for a
smoothing/rpm change while running cold. Or maybe the temp switches are
telling the computer your engine is warm when it is cold?
