88 200T ecu check? where is it?

before shutting off the ignition (just crank the engine for awhile if it
doesn't run), open the hood and close the full throttle switch while
leaving the idle switch also closed.  (you will need to open up the
cover on the side of the throttle switch assembly.)  then go back in the
car and step on the brake pedal.  the code is displayed by moving the
tachometer needle to one of the tick marks and turning the engine check
light on or off.  tell us what those two things are showing and i or any
85-88 5k bentley owner can decode it for you.

the upper chamber of the wastegate on a KG goes to atmosphere - you
don't really need a hose on it...
