Check for any oil leaks. The '92 and early '93 100's are notorious for engine
oil leaks. I bought mine a year ago with about 48k on it. When I bought it,
there was no leaks whatsoever. By the time I hit about 57k, it leaked oil
quite badly. Turned out to be the head gasket and about a $800 repair. Also
check out the shifting on the tranny (if it is an auto). My auto tranny
started leaking around 60k, and had it repired. It is now beginning to shift
roughly. It's got me a bit worried. A new tranny will run you about $5000 for
this car, so be careful. Besides that, there are not any other trouble areas
I can think of. I think I'm just about the only '92 100 owner who had this
many problems. Jim Griffin or Sean Ford also have '92 100's, so maybe they
could add something. Hope this was some help.
