The look of the '87 CST model is _so_ _right_. The early 200 isn't bad
either, but the 100 has too fat a nose, and the S models had that butt-ugly
black stuff on the trunk instead of the colored/lit plastic. Oh, the late
model 87 with the "real" chrome badges is even better.
The a4 looks like a fancy, new volks-bug** :)
Two words describe the new A6...
Jelly-bean, Bubble-butt.
'sall I got to say 'bout that...
The A8 looks the best of the new ones. More of a Legend-type body profile
for the front/cabin.
I also think the S6 has gone out the window...I saw an older S6 a year or
two ago, and it looked better than they do now. J-B, B-B.

my sentiments exactly. However, a better one would be a later 200(more
reliable? :), much more power(164 vs. 215ish?) and nicer schtuff on it.
Would be a great "grandpa's restoration project" for when I'm sitting in
money and I'm a grandfather(considering I'm working on 19-20 years, this is
a bit off.)
Let's all hope that by then, people won't go "What's an Audi?"

My friend's father's Saab 9000CSE Turbo has an
entirely-electronically-actuated hatch latch(you turn the key in the lock
and hear a little motor and then it pops open.)
I suppose it is for extra security, but the side effect was this:
-he left the fog/driving lights on once when we went to the movies(another
BRIGHT idea by Saab...Gee, let's leave the fog lights on with the ignition
off, duuuh.)
-get back from the movie, and the 2x50W+parking lights have completely
drained the battery. Door locks didn't work or anything. Well, we
couldn't find out if there were jumper cables in the trunk because...we
couldn't open it! How unbelievably STUPID is that?

No! It will cause the rubber to deteriorate, and will smear the glass
_big_ time. No, no and no!
I once had my door latch stick open. I fidgeted with it for a bit, then
just gave up, turned the heat all the way up, and waited 5 min or so. It
slipped back and I closed the door. Patience is a virtue. :)
