I've also bought two sets of Hakkas from Pat, and every time someone asks,
I have to relate the following story.

I ordered my first set of Hakkas from Pat just before a trip in December,
of '93 or so. I requested rush delivery. Pat specified rush delivery to
UPS. UPS failed to deliver via rush, took about 10 or so days. I was
bullshit, UPS said "well, you can request rush, but in December we don't
promise, even though you've *paid* extra." Pat indicated that this was news
to him and that UPS hadn't said anything when he specified rush (and I
believed him).

30 days later I get a refund slip from Pat. UPS had decided that it had no
business charging for a service it couldn't deliver, and they issued a
refund to Pat for the difference in shipping.

Pat didn't have to turn around and give me the money back...how would I
have known? But he did, and for a small business, mail order no less, to go
out of their way to give money back to a customer...

He's got my business for life.

BTW, did someone say they were running new Hakkas 1s? Was this supposed to
be Hakka 10s? Or is this a new model tire?
