I do my own repairs, where possible, because one of my brake bleed screws was 
once over-tightened and stripped.  Some of our fellow listers will be familiar 
with the A52 from Derby to Ashbourne, just as it enters the valley in which the 
latter town is situated.  Not a nice place to discover that you have been 
pumping your brake fluid all over the road for the last fifteen miles.
