Why would you want to rewire it that way? I hate having to turn on
my ignition just to listen to the radio.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure it's impossible to turn off "safe" mode.
Most units like that have two powers: one permanent, one switched.
Since the Audi units aren't designed to be switched, they only have
one power input.
Get a Kenwood; it'll sound 13,572.1% better.
