Bruce where have you been?  Archives has the posts from Scott M and DeWitt
Harrison with some interesting conclusions.   For the actual TEST, call SAE
and get a copy of 860103.  AUDI did the 2 pass IC test, considering the
mehodology of that test, the term worst case scenario comes to mind.  

The results of that article calls into question the "test" results by Spearco
IMO.  So, how bout the methodology of the Spearco "test"?  The actual doesn't
add up with the claim once again.  Per my earlier post, where do we go from
here?  Let's get a baseline, before we start really trying to DISCUSS
advantages, mods and turbos.  Right now, we have no baseline.  Since Scott
M's ACTUAL seems to give the Audi SAE credence, where do we give credence to
the "Spearco" results.  Or are we just to "assume" them valid?  Given
history, not sure many would accept that.  The posted results of those
"Spearco" tests show that Audi came up with a VERY different number.  So, the
next question follows, "How did Spearco get numbers?"  

Understand, my post wasn't to "argue" anything.  Tests and methodology speak
for themselves.   I could math the validity of the methodology of the Audi
method (and Scott M's too) to give a HIGHER ICE, but those two seem to be
consistent and valid.  Given the conclusions that SoC HAD to draw with his
"test" results, stage II mods should have blown up turbos before now. So the
math AND the actual numbers make ya look at the Spearco results with a
critical eye.
