Re: valet key question
Paul,
I work in the parts dept. for an Audi dealer in the Seattle area, we
have all keys and the computerized cutting machine in house. The difference
between a master key and a valet key is the rib that runs along one-side of
the valet key to prevent the tumblers from falling into place. Most
aftermarket keys wear out quicker than the original( steel vs. brass). That
is, we cut all keys except the newer laser cut style key
