I'll put in my 2 cents worth.  From my experience, the difference is in
the thickness and/or slightly different grooves.  Key blank manufacturers
don't always seem to know the difference.  I have not had any trouble
finding
either blank in my area (pop. 50,000).  You just have to look at them.
Don't trust the guy running the machine.  I got 2 diffferent wrong key
blanks
for my wife's Merkur and 1 wrong one for my Fiat before I got smart.
As for the "Audi" on the key, I've never seen that anywhere.  My guess is
that you'd have to go to Audi for that.  Even if they can't cut it for
you, they
should have blanks.  That's what I have to do for my motorcycle.  Buy
a blank, take it somewhere else to have it cut.  It's real handy.  You
get to
pay twice!!
