Just fixed my 87 5KT yesterday, had an intermittent low boost situation.
Turned out to be broken solder connections where the WOT switch is
connected inside the housing. While it was apart I checked the
resistance on the idle switch, which turned out to be 5 ohms. A little
contact cleaner brought it down to 0 ohms. Not only did the boost return
to normal, but starting and idle are much improved. Checking the
resistance per the manual is the way to go.

The Bentley says their the same, 7.8:1. KH motors (84 early 85) were
8.3:1.
