Mik,
i have a 91 VW with a weeping gasket, is that vintage new enough?......
the reason i don't like the studs is because you CAN NOT remove the head
from the engine IN THE CAR, at least on a VW, you must remove the engine to
take the head off...... (on 4cyl. VW, prop ably the same on Audi?....)

BTW, stretch bolts are one of best methods of securing a head......
