An 87 is a bit early to have an accelerometer, but you never know.
 
If you _do_ have one, it's underneath the rear seat, sometimes just covered by 
the edge of the carpet.   If the connector's loose, it might cause these 
symptoms.  Jumper across the connector and see if the problem disappears.

Otherwise, it might be something relatively serious wheel bearing-
wise - lift each wheel and have a good tugging and wobbling session.
