RE: clutch problems '88cstq
Glen,
I think that teloscopic thing that you are looking at on the upper part of
the clutch pedal is the part that disconnects the cruise control when the
clutch is engaged. It just follows the clutch and is fully extended when the
clutch is released. When you depress the clutch, it folds in and shuts off
the cruise. I think this is what you are looking at though, although it could
be something else you are seeing. I's been a while since I've peered up there
and this was on a 5ktq.
Mine was making a "creaking" noise when I released the clutch pedal and
driving me nuts! When I realized that it was this item, not comming back with
the clutch pedal, and rather springing back after it had been released, I
doused it with WD40. That took care of the problem for a little while anyways.
