Driveshaft removal

I wanted to know if I can remove the driveshafts on my car by removing the
inner cvj bolts and sliding up, removing outer bolt, sliding out. I wanted
to know, because the last few times they were done on any of my Audis the
lower control arm was unbolted, too. It would make my job a lot easier if
I could do it without disconnecting any of the suspension pieces. Any
btdts?
