RE: Split cv boots
I live in Colorado and it does get cold here but most of the miles on
the truck have been in warmer weather. Its been a year and a half since
installing the split boot but I seem to remember cleaning the glued area
with a solvent before applying the glue. I didn't drive it for a day or
more after gluing the boot together as well. The glue was an instant
stick type but the instructions recommended waiting some time before
driving. I also did the installation during warm summer weather.
Maybe I've just been lucky.
