90Q model year questions.

I am in the market for a 90Q and am not sure what year I should be looking
for.

When did the engine changes take place 
	
(ie I5 to I5 20v to V6)

What does this translate to in terms of performance change?
	
	I was told that the V6 was not a 4 valve per cylinder engine -- which is
the better performing engine, the 20v or the V6?


Does anyone know what (if any) other changes were implemented in these cars
over the years which might influence my decision to buy one model year over
another?
