How does Subaru AWD work vs Torsen?

I'm sorta new to the list, and it seems far less versed in awd than most
people on the list.

With this in mind, I am curious, how does Subaru's AWD differ from Audi's
-- does Subaru just use a straight up VC, or do they have something closer
to torsen?
