'88 and '89 - short trunk, 2.3l, 10v
'90 and '91 - short trunk, 2.3l, 20v
'92 not imported (??? - I think I saw a '92 80Q once with the 10V
engine!)
'93 to '95 - longer trunk, 2.8l 12V V6

Not sure. The V6 puts out a little more power and more torque, but also
weighs about 200 lbs more.

It's probably a wash. Don't know for sure.

The '93+ cars stretched the rear and moved the gas tank to give a bigger
trunk. The rear seats also fold down on the newer models. The car does
weigh more.
My guess is the 20V cars are likely the sportiest - the V6 cars the best
highway cruising, and the 10V cars the cheapest.
By the way, my '88 90Q was bought new by Q-lister Josh Pinkert (or maybe
his father). Any relation?
