Dear Joan,

My ABS light would stay on also, on my ' 87 5kSQ. I could push the switch and
the light would go out for about 3 seconds and the come back on.  My problem
was that the outter front axle splines that the ABS sensor reads, were rusty
and scalely preventing the sensor from getting a proper
reading...............then automaticly shutting off the system.
My fix was to replace the outter axles.
