On the Techron subject...
Hi!
Got a 200t from 1990, docs indicate leaded fuel required. I've used
unleaded a few times, but not that's maybe 3 or 4 times when I first
got the car and the agents told me there was nothing to worry about.
Anyway, I don't think Techron is available off the shelf here, but
I can get it from a gas pump of one of the local gas companies. It
is an additive in their 95 octane unleaded fuels. Would it be a
stupendously stupid thing to dump some, say 20 litres, of the unleaded
stuff with the Techron into my tank (along with perhaps 5 litres of
the normal 97 leaded stuff that would be in the tank if I run well into
the red) and run the car until that is used up just in order to get the
Techron stuff to work? Then go back to 97 leaded again.
