New lister

Hi my name is John & I am an Audi nut.My Audi is a '83 TQC.Mars red/black leather.80k miles.I've been reviewing the Qlist for awhile now & find it very interesting.Especially the stuff about the Urq wiring .I found most of the problems noted & corrected them with good results.Btw I've done lots of other mods & up grades to my Urq. adjustable wastegate-14 psi,15X7 MSW type 55 wheels comp ta's 215X60s,Jacobs ign,Halmeter,K&N,CGT guages in place of the ashtray,H&R progressives, boge struts, etc., Now for a couple of questions.1st on locking the crank to do the timing belt.On my Urq & my sons 5ksq there's two holes in the bottom of the bellhousing right at the engine. At tdc these holes line up with two holes in the flywheel.I put two 1/2 in uss bolts up through these holes & loosened & titened the crank bolt easily using a hellofa long bar.Has anyone else done this &/or was this safe.I've done three belts on these two cars & seen no problems using this method. Also to get around the over boost fuel cut off on the Urq I stacked a second wot switch on the original & wired it to the fuel pump relay.I adjusted the switch lever so it operates from about half throttle.Works great with 14 psi boost & although I lost the rpm limiter this ain't no RPM eng. anyway.Goes like hell. Thanks .John Gross  ' 97 Dodge Ram 4X4 ext cab, hauls stuff.'95 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited.hauls wife.'90 Dodge Grand Caravan, hauls family.'89 Jeep Cherokee Sport, hauls daughter.& last but not least'83 Urq, just hauls.
