Audi's advertising mocked in Private Eye

Apropos of nothing much,

It's probably a reference that'll only make sense to UK listers, but Audi made
it into the current issue of Private Eye (for those beyond the sceptred isle,
Private Eye is a much-sued satirical and political magazine that devotes itself
to exposing or poking fun at the high and mighty). Among its regular features
is a column called "Pseuds Corner" which contains clippings that the Eye sees
as the worst of pseudo-intellectual meaningless bs. This fortnight's Pseuds
Corner (Eye #947, p.13) features the following:

"Dear Mrs xxxxx

Thank you for choosing an Audi. You may not realise it, but when you drive one
of our motorcars, you also experience something else just as unique and
pleasurable: a philosophy."

All accompanied by a cartoon of a car with AUDI scrawled across it sailing by
on ethereal clouds. Actually, the car and driver resemble Toad of Toad Hall
from the Wind in the Willows more than anything else.

Still, at least our advertising rubbish sounded less pretentious than the Alfa
Romeo 156's tail's "calculated ambiguity" quoted just below.
