On the 944 turbo the turbo itself is mounted ont he drivers side of the engine
block.  The head has cast in ceramic exhaust port liners and the EM wraps
under the oil pan and hit the turbo.  The wastegate is located under the car.
This setup generates tons of latent heat which tends to destroy the fuel rail.
Porsche has an open campaign to replace the rail and some other items to one
that dodn't melt.  I've seen three cars destroyed by this.  The rail leaks
spraying fuel on the turbo hot side then the fuel catched fire and kaboom!!!
The 16V models also have a similar problem with regards to the fuel rail...
