Re: Why I own an Audi?

Just got back from 1238 mile round trip in 3 days to L.A. in my old '86
5000 cs turbo. Went down I5 from the Bay area on Friday afternoon. 5
comfortable hours later pull into the Double Tree Hotel on Wilshire Blvd.
The valet takes car around. I note on my tag he thinks it is a Saab
(don't see many Audis in town but everywhere there are shiney BMW's and
MB's).
Next morning go th UCLA with daughter to look it over. Then down to
Irvine to look at that school. LA freeways are terrible and in a down
pour we had no problem. Very stable ride.
Sunday, woke up to blue skys. Came back up 101. Came to hill, went up
hill. Wanted to go faster up hill. Went faster. Car loaded with 4 people
and luggage. To Malibu on winding twisty road. Car loved it and ate it
up.
Car just turned 165,000 miles, 12 years old and runs and looks as good as
ever. What else do you want from a car?
