S2 chiptuning

Looked around today for some future chiptuning of my
S2 Avant. Over here in Germany you can buy modified
ECU's from at least 10 different sources. Most of them
claim to raise the power from 230PS to 275-280PS and an
increase in torque from 350 Nm at 1950 rpm to 420 Nm at
2500 rpm. Looking at the power and torque curves some
of them supply , you can't find any difference at all.
To me this looks as if they copied each other chips and
don't develop anything by themselfs! A lot of these
companies don't even have a dyno let alone a dyno for
4WD cars.
The big exception is Hohenester Sport which offers a
wide range of modifications. Starting at 265PS all the
way to a 400PS and 550 Nm at 3200 rpm 2.5l race engine.
They are also the only company which strongly recommends
to use a different pressure hose running from the turbo
to the intercooler an all S2/S4/S6 cars.
The search continues....
