Cheapest and easiest - advance the timing until just before the engine
knocks.  usually around 16-20 degrees.

Next - and really worth it - is to get a 4kq exhaust manifold and
downpipe.  this will require some fabrication to mate with what's behind
it (does your car have a cat?), but is good for about 10 hp or so.  Also
gives you an excuse to replace the rest of the exhaust system with
bigger pipe!

smaller diameter tires will give you higher rpm's for s given speed,
lose economy on the motorway but you will get more apparent power...
